Riegel Hall was constructed in 1953 as a primary residence for the superintendent of the Riegel Textile Corporation and is considered one of the major landmarks in the town of Ware Shoals. The home, built in the Georgian style, was used not only as the superintendent’s primary residence, but to house corporate guests as well between 1953 and 1964.
In 2014, Riegel Hall received recognition from the Greenwood County Historical Society and bestowed with the Architectural and Historical Preservation and Restoration Award.
Riegel Hall maintains the original moldings, hard wood floors, cabinets, and other features. Today, Riegel Hall is preserved as a historical connection to the areas colorful past and being shared with the community as an event venue.
